More Crazy About You...

This was another of the cards we made as part of Saturday's Stamp-A-Stack.   The original inspiration was from a fellow Devonian Jem Maria Moore, and then recreated by my upline Julie.  Their colour combo was Melon Mambo and Old Olive but I brought it a bit more up to date by using Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron.

The paper is from the Typeset Specialty DSP which I'm very pleased to say has been carried over in to the new catalogue.

More ideas to follow soon!

The Open Sea...Maiden Voyage...

Here is the first of three cards that we made for May's card class using the great 'The Open Sea' stamp set.

I made two slightly different versions, one using the lovely Crumb Cake Chevron ribbon and one using Linen Thread.

I also used the anchor stamp to create a background on one card, but left the background plain on the other card - if you look close enough you can just about see the anchors!

Will share the second card with you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Balloons...

I managed to find a little bit of time to sneak in to my craft room this morning and here is the result!  Sometimes, I can sit and 'faff' for ages, and not really be very productive, but this morning I was really pleased with my efforts.  I sat in the craft room for an hour and a half and by the end of it I had three cards ready for February's Card Club.

Here is the first card of the set.  This uses the really versatile Celebrate Today photopolymer stamp set -  you could adapt this design to suit all ages and all occasions.  Brighter colours would be perfect for teenagers, and maybe more subtle colours for a 70th or 80th card.  The possibilities are endless!  They would even suit those very challenging male creations!!

The background paper is from the Typeset Designer Series Paper Pack (on special this week in the Weekly Deals) and the colours are Pool Party, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake.  One thing I would change when I make this one again, is that I would place the Crumb Cake balloon a bit further up so that you can see it's tail (if you call it that!).

More cards from the same set to follow soon!!
