Wedding Work of Art...

This version of the Work of Art card shows how different it can look, with a slight change to the design!  By using the heart stamp instead of the spot stamp, the card is now suitable for weddings, anniversaries or even valentines!

I have to confess that the Mr & Mrs stamp is a very old one that was hiding in my stash, but there is a brand new set from SU called Bouquet Toss which has a similar sentiment that would work perfectly.  Bouquet Toss is on my wish list, so I had to improvise for this card!

I'm off now to have another play with the Work of Art set, and the new In Colours - will let you see what I come up with soon!

Work of Art...

This card uses the brand new 'Work of Art' stamp set to create the simple but effective background.  The sentiment also comes from the same stamp set so it is a very versatile set.

As with a lot of these cards, they can be made in a lot of different colour combinations.  I have also decorated the envelope to give the card a more professional finish!

The first version of this card I saw was over at Kim's blog, and then again at Julies blog - great inspirational sites to look at!!

The background is so generic, that it could be used for any occasion, just by changing the sentiment.  This is a great card to have in reserve, to add the sentiment at the last minute! I always need cards like that!!

Well, off to school now, and then have got some prep to do for tonight's card club!

Zoo Babies...And Finally...

This is the Zoo Baby that is my absolute favourite - meet Gerry (short for Gerrard!) the Giraffe.  Giraffes are very popular in our house (Ollie's favourite cuddly from when he was a baby), and his Giraffe is called Mr G. Not very imaginative you might think, but we are a Liverpool household so it's short for Stevie Gerrard and Giraffe, so it kinda came naturally!

Gerry was stamped in So Saffron, and layered with So Saffron Cardstock.

Here are all the Zoo Babies lined up together!  I used Pistachio Pudding for the last colour combo, as not everyone wants to give traditional pink and blue cards for babies these days.

I hope you like them all.  Drop me a comment and let me know which is your favourite!

Be back soon!

Adorable Zoo Babies - Nellie the Elephant!

I ordered the Zoo Babies stamp set last month for July's card club, and have totally fallen in love with it!! I have teamed it with another favourite stamp of mine, the Hardwood background stamp.  The background card is Very Vanilla, and has been stamped in Sahara Sand.  Because I wanted the woodgrain to be quite feint, I stamped it onto scrap paper first.

The elephant was stamped on to Whisper White card, as I tried it on Very Vanilla but it made the pink too yellowy (I think that makes sense!!)

I stamped the elephant twice and cut out it's ear so that I could give it a bit of a 3D look.
These great cards have been CASED from the fab German demonstrator Heike over at born2stamp.
Look out for more colour combinations over the next few days!
