Happy Mother-In-Law's Day...

Here is my Mother-In-Law's card - I'm one of those lucky people that gets on well with their mother-in-law!!!

The colours for this one are Crisp Cantaloupe and Sahara Sand, and I've added the coordinating thick bakers twine.

To get the varying colours of dots, I stamped twice before re-inking,

Don't forget to stamp your envelope too!!!

Happy Mother's Day...

Here is the first of my cards using the beautiful Painted Petals set from this years Spring/Summer catalogue.  This is such a pretty stamp set, and it creates such detailed images - I love it!!!

The sentiments are 'amazing' too, and this sentiment was just perfect for my mum on mothers day!!!

I distressed the edges and inked them to give it a slightly aged look.

I've added some crystal effects to the dots and the flowers to give them an extra dimension.  I love how this card has turned out!

Happy Butterfly Birthday...

Here is another one of the butterfly cards - can you tell that I quite like this design!!!  This design is great for what I call my 'stock' cards (or more appropriately called my 'panic' cards!).  You could make up quite a few at a time, but don't stamp the sentiment.

Make sure that when you make the cards, you punch out the oval and the coordinating label and keep them in a clear bag all together, then when you come to use it, you have everything you need!!!  It sounds great in theory, I just now need to learn to practise what I preach!!!

This card was for a lady that is very special to my mum, so from one special lady to another!!!  I hope she liked it.

I promise that my next post will be something that doesn't involve butterflies!!!

Happy Birthday Big Sis...

It was my sisters birthdays back at the end of February and I decided to combine two of my favourite stamp sets to make their cards - Gorgeous Grunge and Papillon Potpourri.  I have two sisters, born on the same day but two years apart!

 

 

This is my big sis Fiona's card - when Madeline and Ollie were little, they used to watch Fi-Fi and the Flowertots a lot, so Fiona became Auntie Fi-Fi and still is today!  I don't think she minds - it's quite cute really!!!

 

This card uses the Elegant Butterfly and the Bitty Butterfly punches, that co-ordinate with the Papillon Potpourri stamp set.

 

The sentiment is from the Something to Say stamp set and is punched out using the Decorative Label punch and the Extra Large Oval punch.
