Thinking Of You...

Here is the last Garden in Bloom project for a while!

The card base and flower are Watermelon Wonder.

The sentiment comes from the great Sheltering Tree photopolymer stamp set.

I really do love the little bee - I'm sure I'll find another use for him soon!!

Thanks for dropping by!

Last Week's Card Club...

Here are some photos from last weekends Card Club.  Everyone made three cards using the lovely Sheltering Tree stamp set.

Everyone put their own twist on their cards, and this is one of Nicky's, using Strawberry Slush cardstock.

Friendship is a Sheltering Tree...

Here are a couple of colour alternatives to the single layer Sheltering Tree card.

As orange is my favourite colour, this autumnal version is definitely my favourite.  As part of the stamp set, you get an extra little stamp of leaves so that you can give the effect of the leaves falling.

For this one I've embossed the bicycle frame using Soft Sky embossing powder.

As you may guess, I'm loving this stamp set at the moment!  If you'd like to try it out for yourself, let me know!

Simple Sheltering Tree...

Here is a single layer version of the Sheltering Tree cards that is great to make in bulk as it is so quick and easy.  It's also a really cost effective card to make as it only uses half a piece of A4 card!!!

I have used the little 'blossom' stamp in Strawberry Slush to add some detail to the tree, and stamped the sentiment in the same colour to tie it all together.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sheltering Tree - Autumnal Colours...

Here is the fourth card in the series of three, using the Sheltering Tree stamp set which is available from next Tuesdat (6th Jan)!!  I made three cards for this month's card club but hadn't used any autumnal colours, and as orange is my favourite colour, I thought I should add an extra one!

This card also uses one of my favourite stamps, Hardwood, plus the colours are from the newest In Colours - Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist.

As previously, the 'happy birthday'  stamp comes from the Something to Say stamp set.

I love this colour combination and hope you like it too?  Which one of the four is your favourite?  If you'd like to have a go at making this card yourself,  and you are in the North Deon area, please contact me ali.cornish303@hotmail.co.uk

Sheltering Tree Number Three...

Happy 2015!!!  I hope that whatever you did to celebrate, you had a wonderful evening and are feeling refreshed and ready to make the most of a brand new year!

Well, back to business - here is the third and final card in the Sheltering Tree collection!

The leaves have been stamped with Pear Pizazz, with some extra leaves stamped in Old Olive to give it some depth.  The leaves on the floor are also Old Olive.  The tree has been stamped with Chocolate Chip, and it is layered with Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The sentiment comes from the same stamp set - Sheltering Tree - which is available from 6th January (not long now!).

I love the swing hanging from the branches - it reminds me of the apple tree in my Mother-In-Law's garden!  Does it spark any childhood memories for you?

This is the last card I've made for Janaury's Card Class, but I think an Autumnal coloured one would be nice too.  I'm now going to have a go at making one, and give everyone the choice of three cards from the available four to make at the class.  Let me know if you'd like to join in!

Happy Stampin'
