Happy Birthday Ollie - Project Life...

I've been adding to my Project Life album over the last couple of weeks, and thought it was about time I shared a few of my new pages with you.  Ollie turned 8 during the summer (do you remember his football invitations?), and here is his page to mark the event!

For his party, he wanted a football match with all his friends and their dads, plus any of the family that wanted to join in!!!  It was great fun.  It was quite surprising how competitive some of the adults were - I think that at some point they forgot they were playing against 8 year olds!

We had a brill ref (thanks Steve!) who kept everything under control (almost!), with only one red card!  They had a penalty shoot out competition and medals for everyone plus a couple of trophies, and not forgetting oranges at half time!!!  We finished the day off with a picnic on the pitch!

Everyone appeared to have lots of fun, and Ollie said it was the 'Best Party Ever', so that was good enough for me!!!

My First Attempt at Project Life...

The full range of Product Life products is not available until the launch of the new catalogue (not long to go now - you can start ordering from 1st July!), but I couldn't wait, and ordered some of the initial launch which included products from the Everyday Adventure Collection.   I ordered the Everyday Adventure Card Collection, plus an Accessory Pack and a pack of Photo Pocket Pages.  I rushed in to Boots to get some reprints of photos from our holiday earlier this year, and set about planning some pages.  Normally, I would spend hours thinking about layouts, working out what papers and embellishments to use and which photos looked the best.  Well, what a different ball game Project Life is!!  I managed to complete three pages in about an hour!!!  Actually, they're not quite finished because now that I've realised how much I like it, I need the stamps to go with it so that I can add dates etc to the photos!

This page was from the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth - the little black donkey has got a wonkey ear and they've called him 'Wonkey Donkey'!!! For any Ant and Dec fans out there, that should put a smile on your face!

This next page was taken on the little private beach at our campsite - Ladram Bay.  If you are ever visiting this part of the country, it is a fantastic place to stay!

My final offering for tonight is this great fun page of Madeline and Ollie having a water fight!  They didn't bother with pistols, they went straight for the bucket, and very politely took it in turns to soak each other.  At least Madeline thought to put her wellies on!!!

As you can see, it really is a quick and easy way to document those special moments.  I can't wait to order the other kits once the new products become available.  Roll on next week!!  Don't forget to let me know if you are interested in joining a Project Life class and I'll get some provisional dates organised.

I'm off to sort through some more photos!!

Project Life Meets Stampin' Up!

If you're anything like me, and, although you love papercrafting and cardmaking, you find scrapbooking quite a daunting task, Project Life could be the solution for you.  Project Life was originally introduced in America by Rebecca Higgins, as a quick and easy way to document and capture special moments and occasions.  Rebecca has been working with Stampin' Up! and earlier this month SU launched their very own exclusive Project Life collection.  It combines the great style of SU with the fantastic idea of Project Life, offering us a great opportunity to dig out the old photos and have a go at making our own memories!

If you are interested in having a go, let me know as I'm looking at running some Project Life classes where you can come along to my house with your own PL kit and your photos, and you can share my stamps and inks etc to decorate your pages.  Let me know if you'd like to join in!!
Here is a short video that introduces the new Project Life collection - watch it and see what you think! It really is as easy as they say it is!
