Cucumber Crush Birthday...

I was looking to have a play with some of the new colours (not so new now!) and this is what I came up with. 

  

I think it looks quite fresh with the Cucumber Crush.

I double stamped the sentiment, to give it a shadow - not sure if I like it - it makes my eyes go a bit funny!!

I think I still prefer the original black with Tip Top Taupe - which do you prefer?

Butterfly Basic Birthday...

Here is a version of  a card that has appeared a lot on Pinterest.  It's so simple, but I think it looks really effective.

The butterfly has been cut out using the Butterflies Thinlits, and then has been re-stamped inside the card.

A little bit of hand-doodling finishes off the edging.

This is a great card to have 'in reserve' as it is very quick and easy, and could suit a number of different occasions just by changing the sentiment.

Buttterfly Basics Meets Mint Macaron

Here is another colour way of the previous card.  The combination of Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand is beautifully subtle, and I think it would be perfect for a sympathy card, or just an 'I'm thinking of you' card.  

I've used the Sahara Sand Lace Trim, which I'm so happy to say has been carried forward in to the main catalogue from the Spring Summer catalogue.

It's hard to see in the photos, but I have edged the butterfly with Dazzling Details to add a bit of sparkle!  The sentiment has come from the Celebrate Today stamp set.

Butterfly Basics Meets Watermelon Wonder

Here is my next offering, using my favourite stamp set of the moment (until I put my order in next week for some goodies from the new catalogue!!).  My inspiration for this card came from my upline Julie over at Julie's Japes.

The colour combination is Crumb Cake and Watermelon Wonder.

The stamp set is Butterfly Basics and the thinlits are Butterflies Thinlits.
