Buttterfly Basics Meets Mint Macaron

Here is another colour way of the previous card.  The combination of Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand is beautifully subtle, and I think it would be perfect for a sympathy card, or just an 'I'm thinking of you' card.  

I've used the Sahara Sand Lace Trim, which I'm so happy to say has been carried forward in to the main catalogue from the Spring Summer catalogue.

It's hard to see in the photos, but I have edged the butterfly with Dazzling Details to add a bit of sparkle!  The sentiment has come from the Celebrate Today stamp set.

Celebrate Today ...Baby Boy...

As promised, here is the little boys version of yesterday's card.  All the supplies are the same as yesterday, with Soft Sky card and ink taking the place of the Blushing Bride. 

 

 

If you prefer more non- traditional colours, this design would work in lots of different combinations.  I like the use of the Sahara Sand, and think this would work with almost any other accent colour.

 

If you try out another colour combo, I would love to hear about (or even better, see) the results!

Celebrate Today...Baby Girl...

Here is another card that I've made using the great Celebrate Today stamp and framelit set from the Spring/Summer catalogue.  My SU mum Julie shared some makes with me last week, and it was one of her cards that led me to create this one - it was perfect timing too as there has just been a special delivery of one beautiful little girl in the family (congratulations Laura and Nigel!!) 

 

 

The colours are Sahara Sand (just a bit paler than the usual Crumb Cake) and Blushing Bride.

As the stamp set is Photopolymer, I was able to line the sentiment up really easily to repeat it across the card.

...And Even More Balloons...

This is my favourite of the three Celebrate Today cards - I think the addition of the Linen Thread to tie to the balloons just gives it a bit of a lift!!!

It was a bit fidley (not sure if that's spelt right!) to tie the three threads together, and then add a bow, but I think I've managed OK.  I did end up cheating a little bit with the help of some double sided tape which I think I've hidden quite well!

I really like how simple these cards are to make, but they look really detailed.  My next challenge is to spice up the colour scheme and see what happens!  If you'd like to make a colour suggestion for me, just leave a comment - alternatively, let me know what colour combinations you've tried.
