Graduation Congratulations...

This was the original card that I made for my nephew, to congratulate him on his graduation.  The sentiment was from the really trendy @sosocial stamp set, and I thought it was perfect for the occasion.  Unfortunately, when it came to give it to him, I couldn't find it!!

I had a quick panic and a thorough search through my craft room, and sample boxes, but no joy.  Then I had a brainwave -  the Hip Hip Hooray card kit!!  This kit is great, and provides you with everything you need to make 20 cards - all for just £17.95.  I looked through the cards that I'd completed, and found the one below - perfect!!

Card kits like this are perfect for these 'emergency'  situations, and there are two 'all inclusive' kits currently available from Stampin' Up!  The Hip Hip Hooray kit as shown here, and the Everyday Occasions Cardmaking kit.

Madeline Joined In The Fun...

Last one of these - this is Madeline's card that she made when my sister came round.

This one has been made using Tangelo Twist card and ink, with the sentiment from
@SoSocial.  As before, the flower is from the Something to Say stamp set, and then punched with the coordinating  Itty Bitty Accent Punch set.

These cards are so quick and easy, and really effective.  By stamping more than once before re-inking (all of mine were stamped three times before re-inking), it gives the impression of using different shades of the same colour.  Madeline was very pleased with her efforts, and was quite excited to think that I was going to put it on my blog - so, Madeline, here it is.  If you like her card, please leave her a comment ...

Say Something...Happy Birthday...

My sister came to play, and here is what she came up with. She started off using Strawberry Slush, but I didn't have any ribbon the right colour.  We found this piece of ribbon that was almost Coastal Cabana so we quickly added a few extra flowers in Coastal Cabana to tie everything together.

The sentiment and the flower comes from the Something to Say stamp set, and the flowers were punched using the coordinating Itty Bitty Accent Punch set.

I like adding the second colour, and there are so many combinations that would work really well.  What combinations have you tried?

Thanks for popping by!

#truelove...

Here is the second version of my previous post.  Apologies for the long gap between cards but we took the children away for a few days, and silly old me thought I'd have time to do a few posts once the children had gone to bed - oh no!! We had such busy days, and late nights, that as soon as the children's heads hit the pillow, they were asleep, quickly followed by me!!!

So, later than promised, here is the next card.  This one has been made using Blackberry Bliss card and ink, with the new matching Stitched Satin Ribbon. The stamp sets are the same as before,
@SoSocial plus the heart from the Something to Say stamp set. The hearts were then punched with the coordinating  Itty Bitty Accent Punch set, and 'blinged' with the occasional rhinestone jewel.

More to follow soon!!
