An Apple For My Teacher...

As promised, here is the card I made for my teacher, to wish her luck in her new job - no prizes for guessing what she's called!  She really is a 10/10 teacher, and I've had a great year with her.  I'm sure she'll get on brilliantly in her new school.

As before, this card was made using the Hardwood Stamp and a retired Sizzix apple die.

Thank you for visiting my blog - hope you enjoy what you see.  Leave me a message to let me know you've dropped by!!!

Thank You Apple Tags...

Here are the tags that I made to go with the teachers thank you pressies.  I used the Angled Tag Topper and the Work of Art stamp set.

The apple is an old Sizzix die, but I couldn't resist using it.  Can't decide which is my favourite colour apple - which do you prefer?

Thanks for dropping by!!

Thank You Teacher...

Well, that's another year over!!  My children finished school on Wednesday, but I have just finished today, so we've not quite switched in to full summer mode in our house just yet!!

These are the cards that I made for Madeline and Ollie to give to their teachers.  I really love this blackboard design - check out the original post here by the very creative Angie - a fellow Jem!

This is a great use of the Hardwood background stamp and the Banner Punch - both products are rapidly becoming favourites of mine!!  I've also used the  paper pack

Check out tomorrows post for the card I gave to my teacher, as it was her last day at our school today.

Enjoy the sunshine!

This Week's Extra Card Club...

Here are my lovely ladies at this week's card club.  This was an extra session that they requested, after seeing this pretty butterfly card on an earlier post on my blog!!

We've already got the next two projects booked, and I'm now thinking ahead for September.  I hate to say it but it looks like we might be starting to think about Christmas then - that seems total madness with the temperatures we are having at the moment!!

If you are interested in joining us for a fun evening of card making (with a bit of a chat and the odd chocolate biscuit!), and you live in the North Devon area, please contact me

Would love to hear from you!

A Rainbow of Butterflies...

I really love this picture!  The first time I saw this made was over at Fiona Duthie's blog, and I've made a couple of these now.  I donated one to a school raffle last weekend, and so had to make another one quite quickly last night!  One of the things I really like about this picture is that it is so simple to co-ordinate with any colour scheme.  You could do a baby girls bedroom with lots of different shades of pink - beautiful!!!
This picture uses the Beautiful Wings Embosslit, and was cut using the Sizzix Big Shot.  You get 5 different butterfly shapes in one die, so for £9.95, it really is excellent value.
If you are interested in making this for yourself (it really is simple when you know how!), let me know as I am arranging some summer holiday workshops and you could join in!!

Happy crafting!!
