Back From Hols...

Well, we've been away for the half term and were at a beautiful campsite only just over an hour from home - Ladram Bay near Exmouth.  The kids had a wonderful time, and we were joined for a couple of days by my mum and dad too! The weather wasn't the best, but we still had lots of fun.  There was very limited internet connection and, if I'm honest, it was lovely!! The only drawback is that it is a very busy time for Stampin' Up! with new starter deals and retiring products, so now I'm back, there will be a few posts back to back!!!
First though, here are a couple of pictures of my holiday....

Ollie, Me, Madeline and Andy - at the Donkey Sanctuary!!!

With my mum and dad!!

Hope you all had an enjoyable half term too - right, work to do!

Saying Goodbye To Some Old Favourites...'s the time of year when Stampin' Up! 'retire' some of their products to make way for the exciting new ranges in the next catalogue.  This is my first year with SU, so I can only pass on advise that I have received from my SU mum Julie.  The retired items are only available whilst stocks last and in previous years, the retired items have gone out of stock really quickly.  If there are any items on either the retired stamps list or the retired accessories list that you are interested in, either email me or call me, or order direct from my shop to make sure you get what you want!!

When choosing a stamp set, please make sure that you choose the English option, as there are some French and German stamp sets also available.  I always have my catalogue in one hand and the retired list in the other!  If you are unsure of anything, drop me an email and I'll help you out!

Adorable Zoo Babies...

... I decided to treat myself (!) to the Zoo Babies stamp set, and what a great decision it was!!  It is soooo cute.  In our house, giraffes are a bit special, so the set is just perfect.  I love the card in a box designs so thought I'd make one using this stamp set.
This will be the card class for July, so as soon as the date is confirmed, I'll post it here!!!  Follow my blog and be the first to find out when it is!

Enjoy the half term

More Floral Hearts...

Today's offering is a set of smaller hearts that could be suitable as wedding decorations, or even as the wedding favour for the ladies!  If you make your own stationary, it would be so simple to make these as well to match your colour scheme.

See below for the list of supplies.  Don't forget, if you like any of my creations, leave me a message to let me know you popped by!!

Little bit of home decor...

I really love the Spiral Flower Originals Die that is in the Spring/Summer catalogue.  There are lots of these wicker hearts available at the moment and it is so quick and easy to customise them to suit any colour scheme.  This one has been decorated with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant flowers, and stuck together with Tombow glue. The glue is really strong, and goes off really quickly!  I've attached the flowers to the heart with a hot glue gun.

I love how just a little bit of effort can really alter the look of something that was quite plain to start with.

Look back tomorrow for another floral heart idea that could be suitable for wedding decorations....

Mr & Mrs...

This card looks great, and can be made in any colour combination to suit the colour scheme of the wedding. It can be adapted to be used as a wedding card, a wedding invitation or an anniversary card by swapping the Mr & Mrs for a 'Congratulations' stamp, which you can find in the Sassy Salutations stamp set.

The first card uses Basic Gray, Smokey Slate and Whisper White cardstock, with Smokey Slate ink, and the second card uses Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock with Sahara Sand ink.  The hearts have been punched out using the Full Heart punch and hand cut.  See below for full product list.

I have seen lots of different versions of this card online, but, as always, my CASEing is from my upline Julie!! Thanks again Julie for my inspiration!  If you would like to make this card for yourself, there will be a card class in Barnstaple, North Devon on Thursday 5th June at 7pm.  Message me for info!!

Off to do my day job now!!!
